For the first time ever, Giant LightMetal Malaysia launched “Art of Wheels:Rim Design Challenge 2022”, is a celebration ofart and engineering for the automotive industry. It embodies a signature rimdesign competition where designers have a rare opportunity to create artisticdesigns to meet the rapidly growing lifestyle needs of the alloy wheel market.We believe that Malaysian has the ability and innovation to unleash talenteddesigners to create rims that are of world-class standards.

In this competition, designers willincorporate the use of alloy to a new level of functionality, aestheticquality, and user experience. Design features should highlight alloy’slightweight features while remaining fashionable, low mass and provide feasibleconcepts that automakers and customers would love.

Theparticipating car owners are required to attend the Gathering and ResultAnnouncement on 3^rd August. During the event, the car owner willintroduce his/herself to allow participants to gather information and generate ideas for their creative process. 3 random qualifiers will be drawn randomly to design the rim for the dedicated car and will engage with the respective car owner for moredetails during the event.

The carowner who agrees to participate by providing his/her car in this competitionwill enjoy the lowest price to purchase a set of custom-made rims exclusivelyat RM12,800 (which normal price would bemore than RM28,000) and the lowest price at RM1,000 for delivery and installationfee. The participating car owner will also be rewarded with free car wrap,specialized photography, videography, and token of appreciation.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS CONTEST:
(1) To attract and cultivate creative talent individualsas a source for production design, especially in automotive
industry.
(2) To discover and elevate the potential of a fashion statement inautomotive through art and engineering
celebration.
